Many thanks to all who attended my Holiday/Christmas Show at the Cabaret at Studio B in Albion last night.
I admit I was a little apprehensive. It was my first Holiday solo show. I had written new material for it, and I have been rehearsing Christmas songs for weeks. I am pleased that it was so well received. And after singing all those 'snow' songs, like Winter Wonderland, White Christmas, and Let it Snow, a few snowflakes magically appeared in the air as the crowd was leaving to go home. Right on time.
What I found the most amusing was that everyone's favorite part of the show was a brief Elvis imitation of Blue Christmas that I threw together almost at the last minute! It got the biggest round of applause! I guess I'll be keeping Elvis in the act from now on!
I can hardly believe I've only been in New York since Wednesday. It's been such a whirlwind of activity since I got here. But I am grateful to have the Christmas Show behind me, and now I'll be looking forward to my New Year's Eve Dinner Show at Tillman's Village Inn.
But mostly I am looking forward to spending some relaxing time with my family and dear friends during this blessed season.
Many blessings to all of you. I'll keep ya posted.
